digitalisation of cultural objects

who work in cultural memory institutions,
such as librarians, archivists, museum
curators, conservators, historians,
archaeologists, art historians, artists.

Specific
Objectives
Development of an Internet-based
learning management environment for
continuing
vocational training of professionals
from memory institutions. It will
provide distant
OJTcourses
on modern methods for work with digital
cultural objects and effective use
of
Web digital content.
Development of distributed
repository for innovative multimedia
courseware in the field of
multimedia
and web-based information technologies.
Implementation of cost-effective
vocational on-the-job training for
the target groups applying
innovative
pedagogical approaches (learner-centred
teaching, learning-by-doing,
and
personalised collaborative learning).
Results
Development of JASON Internet-based
learning management environment -
Virtual e-culture campus
for continuing vocational training
of professionals from memory institutions.
It will
provide
courses for distance on-the-job e-training,
covering modern methods for work with
digital
multimedia objects and effective use
of Web digital content. JASON learning
management
environment will contain information
resources as software solutions, training
courseware,
multimedia and documents.
Development of distributed
repository for innovative multimedia
courseware in the field of
web-based
information technologies with re-usability
of the available educational resources
and
flexible approach to the development
of educational materials up to personalisation
of
the
training process. The initial content
of the repository will provide no
less than 4
multimedia
courses, covering different training
levels.
Implementation of cost-effective
vocational on-the-job e-training by
use of educational
materials
in the Virtual e-culture campus JASON
learning management environment,
applying
innovative pedagogical approaches
(learner-centred teaching, learning-by-doing,
personalised
and collaborative learning).The planned
multimedia courseware will be
developed
in English and on the partners
languages.
Dissemination
Promote the use of the project
results, as a product, by potential
users, with the first focus in
the
countries involved in the project.
Notification of projects
results in the cultural and scientific
sectors as well as in exhibitions,
trade
shows, education and cultural events.
The dissemination of the project
results outside the target groups
will be performed by free
Internet
access with registration of interests
to the project website and by means
of its
virtual
showroom.
Further dissemination and self-sustainability
of the project results will be performed
through the
project partners,according their position
in national and regional structures,
and through
European
and other organisations, expressing
interests to the project results (such
as
training
companies, content providers and other
e-culture stakeholders).
